Teaching Assistant
Job description
One of our partnership SEMH Schools in South Manchester are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their team for the new academic year.
The school has fantastic facilities and supports secondary aged children with a variety of additional needs including:
- Autism
- Challenging behavior
- Mental health needs including anxiety and depression
- Disengagement from Education
In this role you will:
- Help to support children with challenging behavior and help them to achieve their Learning goals.
- Support in the delivery of lessons and activities set by the class teacher
- Support in the assessment of children’s learning and follow individual learning plans
- And much more!
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children with SEMH in a school/youth work setting
- A kind and caring manner and a genuine passion for working with children
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Full time availability within school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
