Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our client secondary schools in Stockport is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Teaching Assistant to support their students who have been identified as requiring additional support. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the learning of students in a secondary school setting, assisting teachers in the classroom, and contributing to the overall educational experience of the students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students in a secondary school setting is not essential to this position.
- This is a full-time position; therefore, it is essential that you are able to work between the hours of 8:00am and 15:00pm, Monday to Friday.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different teaching environments.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- An interest in education and supporting young people with special educational needs or who require additional behaviour management support.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting teachers in the planning and preparation of lessons.
- Supporting students in their academic work and providing guidance when needed.
- Helping students with special educational needs and ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Monitoring students’ progress and maintaining accurate records of their achievements.
- Participating in staff meetings and contributing to the development of school policies.
- Liaising with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
