Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a History Graduate to join one of our client schools in Stockport as a History Teaching Assistant. This position will be a full-time position, starting in September at the beginning of the academic year. For the right candidate, there will be the potential to go into a permanent teaching position once you are fully qualified.
The salary for this position will be between £420 and £450 per week depending on experience and the requirements of the school.
For this position it is essential that you are willing to apply to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and that you can provide at least two employment-based references. You must also be fully aware of safeguarding procedures; training will be provided throughout your application.
The key responsibilities:
- Assisting the teacher in the preparation and delivery of lessons.
- Working alongside small groups of students who may be struggling more than their peers to target their learning needs.
- Ensuring that the behaviour of the pupils is controlled, to create a controlled and productive learning environment.
- Assisting the teacher on any external visits.
- Working with students of a variety of ages, from year 7 to year 11.
- Ensuring that all safeguarding processes are being implemented correctly.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
