Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: NG3, Nottingham
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) to join our vibrant and welcoming school in NG3, Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a child who requires additional support in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with specific learning needs, ensuring their educational and social development.

Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging learning activities tailored to the child’s needs.

Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to support the pupil’s confidence and independence.
-
Implement and adapt strategies to support the child's engagement and participation in lessons.
-
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers, SENCO, and parents.
-
Support the child’s social and emotional well-being, promoting positive behaviour.
-
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role, ideally in a school setting.

Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
-
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
