Teaching Assistant - Netley, Southampton

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Netley, Southampton
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students' learning and development. You’ll play an important role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment, helping students to build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.

Provide one-on-one support for students with special educational needs.

Help to maintain an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued.

Encourage student participation and engagement in learning.

Support with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

Assist with the monitoring and recording of student progress.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
-
Previous experience working in a school setting (preferred but not essential).
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
