Join Our Team as a SEN Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 1 – Southampton

We are seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Key Stage 1 team in Southampton. About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning programs to meet the needs of individual children.
  • Support children in accessing the curriculum and develop their independence in the classroom.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters confidence and growth.
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and parents to track and support progress.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable, but not essential).
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children.
  • A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
