As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of our team, working closely with teachers to support the learning and development of our students.

Job Description:

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the classroom teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to individual students and small groups
  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students to enhance their learning experience
  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and ensuring their specific needs are met
  • Assisting with classroom management and organization to create a positive learning environment
  • Preparing classroom materials and helping set up activities
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
  • Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently
  • A proactive, positive, and flexible approach to supporting learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
