Teaching Assistant

Do you have childcare experience and want to make a difference in a childs life? A school in Paignton are seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to join their team - you will be working in the SEN department and will be supporting the students with their lessons, social interactions and daily tasks. This is a rewarding role, the team at the school are very welcoming too!

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support aligned with the child's EHCP.
• Assist in classroom activities.
• Enhance the child's social and academic skills.
• Collaborate on lesson plans.
• Maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Track and report the child's progress.
• Engage with parents and external professionals.

Requirements:

• SEN experience.
• Passionate about education.
• Excellent communication.
• Patient and empathetic.
• Team-oriented.
• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Relevant qualifications preferred.

This role is subject to passing our compliance checks. These include (but are not limited to) obtaining an enhanced childcare DBS and references.
