Support staff – Level 2 Teaching assistant – Oldham
Start Date: February 2024
Are you looking to work within a mainstream primary school on a full-time basis?
If the above applies to you, Teaching Personnel currently have multiple opportunities working with our partner schools across Greater Manchester
The purpose of the job is to support students working in a 1:1 basis, you will also work under the guidance of teaching/ senior staff to support programmes to ensure the progression of students learning needs.
Job Requirements
- Good literacy / Numeracy skills
- Level 2 qualified (NVQ / CACHE desirable other qualifications can be applicable)
- First aid training
- DBS certified
About the role
- School is located in OL1 and is easily accessible from Rochdale & Manchester with public transport routes
- Supervise and provide support for pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
- Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher
