Job Title: 1:1Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm // Monday - Friday
Salary: £83.85 per day
Location: Newport, NP10/NP20
Start Date: ASAP
More about the role
The role is placed within the school’s LRB and will involve working with/catering toward the additional learning needs of the pupils within. Examples of the learning difficulties are, but are not limited to autism, ADHD, non-verbal, ASD, speech and language, medical/physical needs, hearing impairments.
Essential Criteria:
- Child Only DBS on the update service and to be registered with the EWC (we can assist with both processes).
- Provide 2 professional based references covering the last 24 months.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previously worked in a 1:1 environment.
- Experience being around.
- Always be patient and professional in and outside of the classroom.
- Effectively manage behaviour.
- Work alongside the teacher and assist the day to day set up and planning of the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
