A well-regarded school in Newcastle is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a great opportunity to work in a vibrant learning environment where pupils are at the center of everything.

The role is offered on an initial one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the class teacher, helping all pupils to reach their potential.
• Work with individual students or small groups to support their learning and development.
• Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
• Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging pupils’ social and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support pupil progress.

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
• A passion for education and a commitment to making a difference in children’s lives.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child welfare.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
