Year 6 Teaching Assistant
Location: NP11
Position: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Pay: £83.85 per day

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school in the NP11 area. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in their final year of primary school, helping them achieve their potential and prepare for the transition to secondary education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class support to Year 6 pupils across all subjects, ensuring every child can access the curriculum.
✏️ Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted interventions in core areas such as literacy and numeracy.
Assist the class teacher in preparing lesson materials and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Support pupils with their emotional and social development, fostering confidence and resilience.
Help manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a calm and focused learning environment.
Collaborate with the teacher and SEN staff to support children with additional needs.

A patient, adaptable, and positive attitude.
️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience or confidence in behaviour management strategies.
A valid DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
