Teaching Assistant Maidstone, Kent
Teaching Personnel are currently working with secondary schools in the Maidstone area of Kent who are looking to recruit effective Teaching Assistants to support students in a 1:1 manner, or in small groups, in mainstream schools when they reopen next month
The role offers a varied and ever changing environment in which members of staff work flexibly to support vulnerable students with learning difficulties, or in need of extra support. The role can be full-time or part-time with the potential of offer of a permanent contract for those who excel in post.
Those who have experience in the following areas would be of particular interest:
- Youth work
- Support work & residential care
- Learning mentor in secondary environment
- Prison officers/ tutors
- Graduates from relevant disciplines (Psychology, Sociology)
The primary function of this post is to work collaboratively with the team supporting students in developing students confidence, self-esteem, increasing school participation and to generally cultivate greater aspirations to achieve, not only in education but in the their lives as a whole.
