Teaching Assistant - 1:1 support with pupils with PMLD
Full-time positions available
We are looking for a highly motivated individuals who will work as a class-based teaching assistant supporting children with Complex Needs and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties from 8.30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday. You will join a very hard working and dedicated team of teachers, other teaching assistants and support staff, who focus on improving outcomes for the pupils in their care.
What we are looking for:
• You must have experience working with complex needs/ PMLD and providing personal or medical care
• Someone with high expectations who is committed to raising the achievement of all children
• The ability to use a variety of strategies to engage and support children in their learning
• An excellent role model to children, colleagues and parents, exemplifying our core principle of kindness
• A positive professional actively supportive of the ethos, vision and values of the school
Duties will include:
- Supporting the pupils in 1:1, in groups or in classroom situations, lunch and break times.
- Accompanying pupils on organised school visits/trips as appropriate
- To assist in the support of pupils who can respond with behaviour which challenges.
- To assist with resolving issues which cause anxiety or emotional response in our pupils.
- To keep accurate records as required by the school.
- To be involved in collaborative planning with teaching staff to ensure the effective use of support.
- To work as part of a flexible and supportive team to further the ethos of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
