Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with schools across East Cornwall, who have a number of vacancies for positions starting as soon as possible. We have a variety of roles available, to suit any availability. All roles detailed below are 08:30am – 3:30pm, and applicants should ensure they are available for a minimum of 2/3 days per week to be considered for roles. We have roles in Bodmin, Liskeard, St Austell, and the surrounding areas, in SEN, Secondary and Primary.
Some of the roles we are currently working on are:
- Full-time Learning Support Mentor
- Full-time SEMH 1:1 Teaching Assistant
- Part-time/Full-time Trainee SEMH Teaching Assistant
- Part-time/Full-time Trainee Teaching Assistant
- Part-time/Full-time Flexible Staff
We are looking for reliable people, who are passionate about a role in education. You will be responsible for working with students on a 1:1 and small group basis, providing encouragement and support. We are looking for people who have a minimum of grade C in core GCSEs, as well as people who have transferrable skills, including Youth Work, Support Work and Sports Coaching.
Educators must ensure they have a Child Only DBS on the update service, which Teaching Personnel can provide support with. Candidates applying should have excellent knowledge of policies including Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning, and Equal Opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
