Job description

Teaching Assistant post in Leyland

A secondary school in Leyland are looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant from January 2025. The successful applicant will be on a temp-perm contract, following a successful probation period, and will work during term-time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

The school are seeking applicants with previous Teaching Assistant experience, who preferably have experience supporting pupils with SEMH. The successful applicant should have strong behaviour management, and should feel confident in handling quite challenging situations under their own initiative. Ideally the individual appointed to this post will work well in group settings, as you will be closely supporting the class teachers and working directly under the SENDCo, as well as possibly working on a 1:1 and small group basis with targeted pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
