Job Title: Keystage 3/4 Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Location: Various Schools Across Leicestershire

Due to high demand, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Keystage 3/4 Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support students. We offer Temp to Perm options if you find a role you enjoy and wish to continue in Long Term.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will support students in Keystages 3 and 4 who require additional assistance with managing their behaviour and engagement in learning. You will be providing crucial behavioural support, implementing interventions, and helping students build emotional resilience. Your role will be dynamic and varied, working alongside teachers, pastoral teams, and senior staff to ensure a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who struggle with managing their behaviour and staying engaged in lessons

Implement tailored behaviour management strategies in line with school policies

Assist classroom teachers in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment

Track and monitor students’ progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and senior staff
-
Support students in building social and emotional skills, helping them navigate challenging situations

Collaborate with school staff to develop and deliver personalised behaviour interventions
-
Communicate regularly with school leadership and parents regarding students’ progress
-
Ensure a safe and supportive environment for students to thrive
Key Skills and Qualifications:
-
Experience working with students with challenging behaviour, ideally in a school setting
-
Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies
-
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents
-
Ability to stay calm, patient, and professional in high-pressure situations
-
A proactive, empathetic approach to supporting student development
-
Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field (Desirable)
-
Experience working within Keystage 3/4 (Desirable)
-
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
