Year 3 Support Assistant for Child with Global Learning Delay

Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Kirkham (PR4)
Start Date: February 2025
Salary: £12.90-£13.50 per hour 

Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in providing tailored educational support for a child in Year 3 with Global Learning Delay. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in a young learner's academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for the child, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.
• Implement and adapt learning strategies tailored to the child’s needs, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Assist with classroom tasks, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Monitor progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and regular review meetings.
• Encourage social interaction and support the child in developing key skills.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly Global Learning Delay (preferred).
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with children.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent, are desirable but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
