Job description

Full-Time KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Hounslow

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 2 (KS2)? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in the hounslow area. This role is focused on providing tailored support to a pupil in KS2 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), with additional funding in place to ensure the right candidate can assist in their academic and personal development.

About the Position:

In this fulfilling role, you will be working closely with one student in Key Stage 2, providing 1:1 support to help them succeed in their learning and development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a child in KS2, helping them engage with the curriculum
  • Assisting with academic progress by adapting lessons and tasks to meet their needs
  • Supporting the child with emotional and social development, fostering independence
  • Encouraging the child in social interactions and ensuring their overall well-being

This is an initially temporary position, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role for the right candidate.

Role Details:

  • Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: Competitive rates, based on qualifications, experience, and references

What We’re Looking For:

  • Desirable Qualifications: TA qualification, SEN training, or Early Years qualification preferred
  • Experience: Prior experience working with children, particularly in Key Stage 2, and with SEN, is essential
  • DBS Check: You must hold a DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to complete a new DBS check
  • Eligibility: Applicants must reside in the UK and have the right to work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
