Teaching Assistant – Grays/Thurrock

This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to be part of something meaningful. You’ll be supporting the class teacher to create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm – no weekend work required!
- Support pupils with their learning and help keep the classroom running smoothly.
- Assist the class teacher in preparing materials and leading fun, educational activities.
- Deliver focused group and 1:1 support to pupils who need an extra boost.
- Help foster a welcoming, safe, and inspiring classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Clear and confident verbal communication skills.
- Calm, patient, and positive attitude – especially when things get busy!
- A true team player who loves working with others.
- Experience in schools or childcare is a bonus – but not essential!
- A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.
- Minimum Grade C (4) in GCSE Maths and English.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
