We are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants with experience working within an Area Resource Base.  

 

We work with several ARBs across Cornwall and are currently recruiting for experienced Teaching Assistants to work within them. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with Special Educational Needs and be confident when entering and supporting different classes. Ideally you will be available to start in the New Year though we understand that notice periods vary.

You will be working with a range of SEN from mild to severe, specific training for the role such a Team Teach is required though this can be completed though us at a discounted rate. Experience with behaviour management is required and any training that you have will be beneficial and of interest to the schools.

The students are encouraged to socialise with their peers within the class though they will need extra support and encouragement to do this. The class teacher will plan their work though you may be required to plan additional work if the student is particularly struggling with a topic and needs some extra practice and support. Good understanding of Maths and English is required. You will have access to all the resources that you will need to assist with the students learning and the class teacher will brief you in the morning so you know the students plan for the day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
