We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and vibrant secondary school in Eastleigh. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with students across various year groups and contribute to their academic and personal development. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a variety of learning needs.
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN), helping to implement individual learning plans and strategies.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (desirable but not essential).
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude to work in a dynamic school environment.
- A commitment to promoting equality and diversity within the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
