Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a variety of learning needs.
• Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
• Support students with special educational needs (SEN), helping to implement individual learning plans and strategies.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
• Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (desirable but not essential).
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive and adaptable attitude to work in a dynamic school environment.
• A commitment to promoting equality and diversity within the classroom.
