KS2 Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start (Year 6 General Support)
Location: East Grinstead
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to support Year 6 pupils in a vibrant school? We are seeking a proactive and dedicated individual with proven school-based experience to join our supportive team in East Grinstead.
Important Requirement: Candidates must have an enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service to be eligible for this role.
Your Role:
As a Year 6 General Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide in-class support to Year 6 pupils, helping them stay engaged and focused during lessons.
- Work alongside the class teacher to create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Assist in preparing lesson materials, setting up activities, and maintaining an organized classroom.
- Support small groups or individual pupils who may need additional help with their learning.
- Encourage positive behavior, resilience, and enthusiasm in pupils.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Has school-based experience, ideally in KS2 (Key Stage 2).
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates a passion for working with children and supporting their academic and personal development.
- Holds an enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service (this is essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
