KS2 Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start (Year 6 General Support)

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to support Year 6 pupils in a vibrant school? We are seeking a proactive and dedicated individual with proven school-based experience to join our supportive team in East Grinstead.

Important Requirement: Candidates must have an enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service to be eligible for this role.

Your Role:

As a Year 6 General Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide in-class support to Year 6 pupils, helping them stay engaged and focused during lessons.
• Work alongside the class teacher to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Assist in preparing lesson materials, setting up activities, and maintaining an organized classroom.
• Support small groups or individual pupils who may need additional help with their learning.
• Encourage positive behavior, resilience, and enthusiasm in pupils.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a candidate who:

• Has school-based experience, ideally in KS2 (Key Stage 2).
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrates a passion for working with children and supporting their academic and personal development.
• Holds an enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service (this is essential).
