Are you looking for a role where you can really make a difference?
Teaching Personnel are supporting a Trust of Schools in the Chesterfield area. On behalf of the Trust, we are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support children with SEN (specifically ASC) on a part time basis. You may have experience supporting ASC in a Primary School, or you may come from a Carer/Youth Worker background. We are looking for an individual who is calm and patient, able to use positive behaviour management techniques and deliver specialist interventions on a 121 basis or with small groups.

As part of this family, you will have the opportunity to develop professionally and work with a number of staff members across various settings.
Daily Rate; upwards from GBP66.30 per day
Start; September start, or as soon as possible after
Part - Time (full time roles are also available)
Roles and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to;
- Working on a 121 basis, or with small groups of children, identified as SEN
- Supporting children with ASC
- Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management techniques
- Supporting the class teacher with classroom management
- Working with parents and carers, reporting on children's progress
- Working alongside the SENDCo to create behaviour plans and progress reports
- Delivering interventions, which may include Nurture, THRIVE, Talking Stories etc.
- Planning time outside of the classroom, including outdoor activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
