Teaching Assistant
Job description
An exciting job opportunity has become available for a Teaching Assistant to carry out a 1:1 role in a welcoming Primary School in Westbury-On-Trym. The school prides itself on developing confident, motivated and respectful young people and the ideal candidate will be passionate about contributing to their success.
The role is Full Time Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm, term time only with long term opportunities available as well.
This job would be ideal for a candidate looking to gain experience working with children in a classroom environment. Previous recent experience working with children is mandatory.
The successful candidate will have:
- Confidence working with young people
- Experience or training with Makaton, PECs or TEACCH strategies would be advantageous
- Enthusiasm for helping children excel and enhancing their learning
- Experience working with children in another capacity such as sports coaching or a support worker
- Will be proactive in delivering and adapting interventions

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
