We are looking for a general Primary Supply Teaching assistant to work on a full-time basis in the BD12 area.

Teaching Personnel as a company works with a variety of schools across West Yorkshire, particularly in the Bradford area. As a result of this we consistently have opportunities for cover work for our teaching assistants in our regular using schools. If you have specific days that you would prefer to work, or not to work, we can prioritise you for those ensuring a role is always open and offered to you.

The school:

The supply teaching assistant role is based in a school in the BD4 area with a brilliant reputation. This school values their children’s feelings, creativeness, and success in their learning equally, helping each child’s love of learning grow, whilst also developing their interior posture. They are a popular two form entry school with a nursery and as a team the members of staff work hard to ensure that their curriculum is inspiring for their pupils, responding to their needs both academically and personally.

The role:

The role itself provides a significant service to our schools during times of need, offering cover in the absence of permanently employed teachers across all year groups in a range of schools across the Bradford area. It is across a number of year groups requiring adjustment to different ages and different challenges you may stumble upon whilst delivering curriculum.

The pay:

Alongside of this the role also consists of working collaboratively and creatively with other members of staff and helping young pupils engage in their learning. The rate of pay for this supply teacher role will be between £70 and £85 depending on your levels of experience.

What we expect…/the ideal Supply Teaching assistant will…

  • Relevant experience working in UK Primary schools.
  • Experience using Read, Write, Inc phonic scheme- however not compulsory, experience using any phonic scheme would be a fantastic extra.
  • Be able to adjust to the different ways of teaching to those of different ages across all key stages.
  • A passion to motivate primary aged pupils.
  • Be ultimately flexible in working hours/days.
  • Have appropriate levels of safeguarding knowledge.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
