Job description

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both academically and emotionally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.

  • Supporting individual students and small groups with their learning and development.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social interactions.

  • Helping to create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.

  • Providing emotional and pastoral support to students as needed.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Has a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.

  • Has experience supporting young people or young adults with mental health difficulties. 
  • Is patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with students.

  • Works well as part of a team and is proactive in supporting learning.

  • Has experience working in a school setting (desirable but not essential).

  • Has excellent written and spoken English as some students have communication barriers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
