Job Description
Location: Dorset, Bournemouth
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £70 - £85ph.
Here at Teaching Personnel, we are looking for a full-time teaching assistant to join our primary school in Bournemouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a team of teachers and provide support to children and watch them develop.
Job Description
A Teachers Assistant will work closely with teachers in being able to provide support and learning development. Your main responsibilities include:
- Working alongside the teacher to ensure you are providing supportive lessons and development, to enable the children to understand the tasks to the best of their ability.
- Provide individual support to children that need more help on certain tasks.
- Help the children to enable a positive atmosphere and being able to maintain guidance in helping with the children educational needs.
- Supporting the teacher in any administration tasks such as marking, filling, record – keeping, and generally help with children 1:1.
Requirements
- Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience in working with children with learning needs, also including those with specific learning difficulties.
- Being able to support and encourage children in working within a group and 1:1 to encourage there learning development.
- Having a good understanding of literacy, numerary and communication skills at all KS1 and KS2 levels.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
