Teaching Assistant
Job description
A school in Bournemouth are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and development of students in a welcoming and nurturing environment.
The school cater for young people between the ages of 11-16 who are not able to attend mainstream school to social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH).
Key Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
-
Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
-
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
-
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
-
Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions.
-
Support students with special educational needs and ensure their individual learning needs are met.
-
Contribute to the overall well-being and progress of students.
Requirements:
-
Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude towards supporting students.
-
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
