Job Opportunity: EAL Support Staff
Location: South Shore, Blackpool
Start Date: January 2024
Working Days: Thursdays and Fridays
Contract Type: Part-Time, Term-Time Only
About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate EAL (English as an Additional Language) Support Staff member to join a vibrant and inclusive school located in South Shore, Blackpool. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students whose first language is not English, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to EAL students in both one-to-one and group settings.

Assist in developing language skills to improve students' comprehension and communication.

Work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and deliver targeted interventions.

Monitor and record student progress, reporting to relevant staff.

Foster a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:

Experience working with EAL students or in a similar educational support role.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt learning strategies to meet individual student needs.

A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
-
Relevant qualifications in education or linguistics (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
