Full-Time Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Food Technology Department

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic Food Technology department at a vibrant secondary school in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning experiences while supporting their creativity and practical skills in the kitchen.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and practical food technology lessons.
• Support students in developing their culinary skills and understanding of nutrition.
• Help maintain a safe, organised, and inspiring learning environment.
• Provide individual and small group support to students of varying abilities.
• Contribute to the preparation and organisation of lesson materials and resources.

What We’re Looking For:

• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with young people or a passion for education.
• Knowledge of food preparation and safety procedures (advantageous but not essential).
• A proactive and supportive approach to helping students succeed.
