Teaching Assistant in Bishop Auckland
Location: Bishop Auckland, County Durham
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? Do you have a genuine interest in helping young learners thrive in a supportive, nurturing environment? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our school in Bishop Auckland.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teachers to support the learning and development of students across various year groups. You will assist with classroom activities, help manage behaviour, provide one-on-one support to students who need extra help, and contribute to creating an engaging, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering lessons and activities.
- Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide tailored support to students, including those with special educational needs.
- Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
- Support children with their individual learning goals.
- Supervise children during breaks and lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for supporting young learners.
- A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) would be advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
