Teaching Assistant – SEND School
Location: Birmingham
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time (Term-Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and nurturing SEND school community. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to empower pupils through personalised learning, care, and encouragement every step of the way.
Your Role Will Include:

Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Assisting the class teacher with planning, classroom management, and lesson delivery.

Providing 1:1 and small group support to ensure each child feels seen, heard, and valued.

Encouraging independence, confidence, and self-esteem in every child.

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation in a kind, consistent way.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Has a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.
-
Is patient, empathetic, and resilient in their approach.
-
Can work well as part of a team and follow direction, but also shows initiative.
-
Has good communication skills and a positive, nurturing attitude.
-
Experience in a similar role or with SEND pupils is highly desirable, but training will be provided for the right person.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
