Teaching assistant

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with primary schools across Birmingham and are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside skilled class teachers and fellow TAs to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment for children.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively with the classroom team, supporting the teacher to ensure all children are well cared for and fully engaged with the learning content.
• Provide targeted support to children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or learning difficulties.
• Be sensitive to the social, emotional, academic, and developmental needs of primary-aged children.
• Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with children, their parents/carers, and school staff.
• Approach the classroom environment with warmth, energy, and enthusiasm to motivate and encourage students.
• Show patience, understanding, and empathy in all interactions with children.
• Occasionally, you may be required to provide 1:1 support, working closely with individual students to help them achieve their full potential.

Who Would Excel in This Role?

• Individuals with prior experience in education, SEN, or learning support roles.
• Those with a background in health and social care, psychology, sports coaching, or mentoring.
• Candidates who are patient, caring, and enjoy building strong, positive relationships.
• Graduates or individuals looking to gain valuable experience within the classroom.
