Job role: Teaching Assistant 

Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham

Pay rate: £85 - £100 per day dependent on experience

TEACHING ASSISTANT NEEDED FOR SELLY OAK, BIRMINGHAM

Teaching Personnel are recruiting an experienced and professional teaching assistant to work with one of our partner schools in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will hold a teaching assistant qualification or have relevant experience as a teaching assistant within secondary schools. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Create a positive learning environment
  • Provide support for pupils who require 1:1 or small group focused interventions
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and follow their guidance
  • Communicate effectively with class teacher and other members of staff within the wider school community
  • Show empathy and understanding and be the "listening ear" for pupils
  • Work closely with students with special educational needs

The ideal candidate will have had experience working as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant within schools previously whereby they feel confident supporting pupils through their learning and development. Previous experience working with pupils with special educational needs and an understanding and awareness of the various learning needs within a classroom, is beneficial to this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
