About the Role:

Location – Cardiff

Pay - £83.85 per day

Hours – Full time (8:30 – 3:30)

Start Date – February 2025

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in the centre of Cardiff. The position will be full-time, working alongside a nursery class and working with children on a 1:1 basis who require additional support with their learning. The ideal candidate will be confident working with children with varied needs and abilities, as well as providing general classroom support. There may also be instances where the teaching assistant will lead interventions involving small groups of children, to assist with learning that follows the school’s curriculum. 

Main Duties:

• Providing general classroom support for the teacher and supporting all class children.
• Working on a 1:1 basis and supporting individual needs of the children.
• Being confident completing intervention work on an individual basis or within small groups.
• Ability to build professional relationships with children, staff, and parents in the school.

About the School:

The school is based in the centre of Cardiff and is a two form entry. The school is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team who will bring a positive attitude to the class. You will receive continuous support and feedback, and the school will always be open to hearing new ideas and feedback. The ideal candidate will need to be enthusiastic and reliable, whilst wanting to provide a positive and safe learning environment for the children.
