Teaching Assistant Roles – Barnsley

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity in Barnsley (S73 area)? We are seeking passionate individuals to support students and teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Location: Barnsley

Role: Teaching Assistant (Levels 2 & 3)

⏳ Start Date: Immediate & September Start Dates Available

⏰ Contract: Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide classroom support, ensuring that every child receives the guidance they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
✔️ Providing one-on-one and small group support to students.
✔️ Assisting with lesson planning and classroom preparation.
✔️ Supporting students with additional needs, including SEN and EAL learners.
✔️ Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
✔️ Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating school environment.

Requirements:

Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred).
Experience in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
A passion for working with children and supporting their learning journey.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies (training available).
