As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in their academic, social, and emotional development. This is a rewarding role that involves helping children reach their full potential in a caring and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Support individual students or small groups with learning activities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Foster a supportive and engaging environment to help pupils thrive.
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the welfare and progress of students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children (preferably in an educational setting).
- A patient, caring, and supportive nature.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
- A willingness to support students with SEN and/or challenging behaviours.
Desirable:
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or similar).
- Experience in primary or secondary education.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
