Teaching assistant wanted in Acton!

Location: Acton

Role: Teaching Assistant – Challenging Behaviour

A full-time role, with the potential to stay on permanently

An immediate start

Pay: £85 - £90 a day (paid on a weekly basis)

 

1)      Summary of the School

The school is a large three form entry school based in Acton, they have most recently received a good Ofsted report - commending them for their performance and positive attitude throughout the school, with awareness for areas of improvement. With a large and supportive senior leadership team they are looking for new members of staff that are looking to make a difference to the students and school, whilst being able to expand their experience within the role.

 

2)      Breakdown of job role

The Role

3)      Support Teachers in planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons

4)      KS1 and KS2 support across all subjects

5)      Keen to get involved with all areas including after school clubs, music, or cooking

6)      Support children 1:1 (if necessary)

7)      Confident and show initiative

8)      Ability to build and maintain solid relationships with staff and students

9)      5 days a week

 

4) Essential requirements/training/qualifications

  • • A passionate Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with children with additional needs – to work within the school and its SEN unit.
  • • Flexible and be able to work as part of a team to improve the outcomes for pupils.
  • • Able to plan and deliver a range of interventions for pupils to support their academic and emotional wellbeing.
  • • Actively engaged in improving their own skills through seeking constructive feedback.

 

5) Locality of the school

The school is located within the heart of Acton, with nearby public transport services available such as West Acton station on the central line - a short walk (5 minutes) away from the school. The school does have an onsite car park, but spaces are limited, so we suggest travelling by public transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
