Teaching Assistant
Location: Abergavenny.
Pay: From £77.40 per day.
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm.
Start Date: 16th September.
Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a school in a Secondary School in Abergavenny. At the school, they have high expectations of all our learners, and we are committed to supporting each one of them as individuals to achieve their personal best.
As a Teaching Assistant you will play a huge role in inspiring and guiding students towards academic success.
This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on young pupils' lives. You may be helping with day-to-day activities. In some cases, this may involve supporting the pupil and helping them build confidence.

Roles of a Teaching Assistant
- Work with teachers to plan and prepare learning resources and map out strategies for pupils who are struggling.
- Help set up the classroom ready for lessons.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who may need additional help.
- Be patient, caring, understanding, positive and supportive.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS clearance, registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
- EWC registration (or willingness to apply).
- Ability to provide two recent references, showcasing your professional competence.
- Right to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Safeguarding Level 2 (provided free of charge by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
