Teaching Assistant Position: Support for SEN Learners in Great Yarmouth

Are you experienced in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) throughout primary and secondary education? Do you have a passion for working with children who have Additional Learning Needs? If you’re interested in joining a school dedicated to supporting pupils diagnosed with Autism, we want to hear from you!

Our specialist SEN branch in Norwich is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with pupils aged 6-16 at a new setting in Great Yarmouth, which opened in September 2021. All students here have an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) primarily focused on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health, and many come with varied challenges and starting points.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with pupils exhibiting Autism and challenging behaviours.
  • Deliver tailored interventions to meet individual needs.
  • Adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning requirements.
  • Foster positive behaviours and personal development.
  • Work within the guidelines of EHCPs to support each student’s journey.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
