Teaching Personnel have an amazing opportunity to work with a Secondary school based in Stockport. The school are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant and Nurture Provision Manager to join there team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with the SLT Link for Inclusion to create robust processes to assign evidence informed, commensurate support to pupils who require it using both qualitative and quantitative assessments of need.
  • Devise and maintain robust systems for aligning support with wider pastoral support available in school.
  • To devise a thorough process for tracking and monitoring the impact of support short term and long term on pupils’ ability to access the mainstream offer.
  • Monitor, evaluate and continuously refine the support on offer by tracking pupil progress and outcomes in both the short and long-term.
  • Continuously quality assure the curriculum offer available for pupils who are receiving support through nurture.

Qualification

  • Educated to A level or similar relevant professional qualification
  • Further qualification related to SEND
  • Good IT skills
  • Working with children and/or young people in a SEND capacity within an educational setting for at least 3 years
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with parents/carers and external professionals
  • Working effectively with vulnerable pupils
  • Experience of line managing a team of people
  •  Experience of appraising performance and developing staff
  • Experience of leading/managing the SEND Referral process for pupils

This school is situated off the A6 In Stockport, nearby access to public transport. Parking will be available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
