Cover Teachers Wanted – Norwich and Norfolk

Are you passionate about working with young people and looking for flexible teaching opportunities? We’re seeking enthusiastic Cover Teachers to support secondary schools across Norfolk. Whether you’re a qualified teacher (QTS) or an experienced Cover Supervisor, this is your chance to inspire young minds and gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role:

  • Start Date: Immediate opportunities available
  • Location: Secondary schools across Norfolk
  • Flexibility: Choose from full-time or part-time positions to fit your schedule
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure a productive learning environment
    • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere
    • Engage with students, building rapport to support their learning and personal development
    • Provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to students

Who Can Apply?

You don’t necessarily need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to apply for this role. We welcome candidates with a Certificate in Education and Training (CET) or equivalent qualifications. If you have experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring young people, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Confidence in leading a class and motivating students
  • A natural ability to build rapport with young people, creating an engaging and supportive environment
  • Backgrounds in youth work, sports coaching, alternative provision, charities, care work, or youth engagement services are highly desirable
  • A passion for education and helping young people succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
