Science Teacher – Basingstoke

Location: Basingstoke
Start Date: March 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Supply (Until the End of the Academic Year)

A secondary school in Basingstoke is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team from March until the end of the academic year. This full-time supply role involves delivering Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop a strong understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics while fostering a love for scientific inquiry.

The Role:

  • Teach Science across KS3 & KS4, following the national curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop students’ scientific knowledge and skills.
  • Conduct practical experiments and demonstrations, ensuring adherence to health & safety guidelines.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Support students in coursework and exam preparation, including GCSE content.

Who Can Apply?

✔️ Qualified Science Teachers (QTS/QTLS preferred).
✔️ ECTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.
✔️ Unqualified teachers with relevant subject knowledge and teaching experience may also be considered.
✔️ Individuals with a passion for Science, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to inspire students.
