Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher of Science to join a vibrant secondary school in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will start in November 2024 and take on a full-time role, delivering Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver engaging Science lessons to students of varying abilities at KS3 and KS4.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to support a cohesive learning environment for students, ensuring smooth transitions between different subject areas.
  • Student Development: Provide differentiated instruction to cater to individual learning needs, helping students reach their academic potential.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Ensure all lessons adhere to the national curriculum while fostering creativity, curiosity, and a passion for Science.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Professional Growth: Engage with ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.

Who Should Apply?

  • Experienced or newly qualified Science teachers (including Early Career Teachers).
  • Unqualified teachers with relevant experience and a passion for teaching Science are also encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to student progress and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
