Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience
A highly respected Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities to join the permanent staff team of their growing and improving secondary school in Essex. The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Humanities, with a focus on Religious Education (RE) and History.
- Play an integral role in supporting the Humanities department’s continued growth and success.
- Foster a passion for learning and critical thinking in students.
- Contribute to the school’s ethos of high expectations and academic excellence.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in a relevant discipline.
- Have a proven track record of teaching RE and/or History at Key Stages 3 and 4, with experience at Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Exhibit excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Show a willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities and the wider school community.
- Be dedicated to their own professional development and continuous improvement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
