Are you a passionate Health & Social Care / PSHE Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in Basingstoke? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated individual to join a thriving secondary school from March 2025.

Contract Type: Full-time
Duration: Longer-term, transitioning to temp to perm

About the Role:

As a Health & Social Care / PSHE Teacher, you will teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that help students develop essential life skills, emotional well-being, and an understanding of the health and social care sector. This role is open to experienced teachers, ECTs qualifying this year, and unqualified teachers with relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging Lessons – Plan and deliver interactive and thought-provoking lessons in Health & Social Care and PSHE.
  • Curriculum Development – Contribute to the creation of an inclusive and ambitious curriculum.
  • Student Progress – Monitor and support students' academic, emotional, and personal development.
  • Extracurricular Activities – Support the school’s well-being and personal development programs.
  • Raising Attainment – Help improve student outcomes in Health & Social Care and PSHE.
  • Professional Growth – Engage in ongoing training and CPD opportunities.
  • Pastoral Care – Work closely with students to develop their understanding of personal, social, and health-related issues.

Requirements:

✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
✅ ECTs qualifying this year and unqualified teachers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
✅ Strong subject knowledge and passion for Health & Social Care and PSHE.
✅ Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
✅ Safer Recruitment in Education check required.
