Location: Southend-On-Sea, Essex
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Full-Time (potential for permanent)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

About the Role
Our client, a well-regarded secondary school and sixth form based in Southend-On-Sea, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Geography to join their Humanities faculty. This is a full-time teaching position available to start as soon as possible, offering the opportunity to teach across both KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative department with a strong emphasis on academic excellence, enrichment, and student engagement. Whether you're an ECT or an experienced teacher, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

Role Details

  • Deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3–KS5 (depending on experience)

  • Plan, assess, and monitor progress in line with curriculum standards

  • Foster a positive learning environment and support pupils of all abilities

  • Contribute to field trips and Geography-related enrichment opportunities

  • Work collaboratively within the Humanities department

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Geography or a related discipline

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
