Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a wonderful and well-regarded secondary academy in Blackheath who are seeking an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Curriculum Planning and Development: Create engaging lesson plans and resources, align content with departmental goals, and contribute to curriculum planning.
• Student Assessment and Progress Tracking: Maintain records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Pastoral Duties: Serve as a form tutor, supporting the well-being and personal growth of students.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in evaluating and improving teaching practices and departmental performance.
• Communication: Build positive relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders, fostering a strong school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will:
• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree in English.
• Have successful teaching experience at the secondary level.
• Be familiar with National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
• Demonstrate strong ICT skills and experience with interactive whiteboards or similar tools.
• Exhibit excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills.
• Possess the ability to foster a motivating and safe learning environment.
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
