Teacher of Design Technology – Secondary SEMH

Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Salary: £21,730 - £31,650 (Unqualified to MPS1-6) + SEN Allowance £2,679
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a passionate and creative DT Teacher looking to make a difference in an SEMH specialist school? We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Teacher of Design Technology to join a dedicated team in Swindon.

About the Role:

As a DT Teacher, you will:

  • Teach small class sizes of 4-8 students with SEMH needs.
  • Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons, fostering creativity and hands-on learning.
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive staff team in a close-knit school community.
  • Create a nurturing and structured learning environment tailored to individual student needs.
  • Play a key role in supporting students to develop confidence and skills for the future.

Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 3:25 pm

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should:
✔ Be an inspirational and self-motivated teacher with a passion for Design Technology.
✔ Have experience working with students with SEMH needs (or a willingness to learn).
✔ Be a team player, committed to school improvement and student success.
✔ Have strong lesson planning and classroom management skills.
✔ Be resilient, adaptable, and eager to develop professionally.
